Dimitris Anastasopoulos as a speaker at the Delphi Economic Forum 2025

The Managing Partner of our Law Firm Dimitris Anastasopoulos on 12th of April 2025 participated as a speaker at the Delphi Economic Forum, in the session on «Greek IPO Revival: Legal, Audit and Tax Challenges», along with other distinguished speakers. In his speech, Mr. Anastasopoulos referred to the recently voted act to strengthen the capital market as well as the provisions included in the act to reduce private debt and expand the conditions for participation in the out-of-court debt settlement mechanism and the protection of debtors, assessing that these regulations are in the right direction.

He also referred to the real estate boom in recent years, while also pointing out the distortions that have arisen, which have left many of our fellow citizens unable to afford to buy or rent a home, and calling on the government to take further measures in this regard. As he pointed out, we must first preserve the social character of the real estate market and then ensure profitability. Finally, Mr. Anastasopoulos spoke about the need to complete the reforms to the Land Registry. He acknowledged that many positive steps have indeed been taken over the past two years; however, much remains to be done to complete this major reform for the Greek state and ensure that it does not hinder the development of real estate, especially given the very long delays at the Athens Court of First Instance in issuing certificates, an issue that also requires an immediate solution.
