Aimilios Koronaios is an associate of the Law Firm “AA Lawyers”.
He is an attorney at law (before the Supreme Court) with experience mainly in the areas of Personal Data Protection and Cybercrime.
He has handled personal data protection cases of natural and legal persons active, inter alia, in the fields of medicine, law, transports, entertainment, telecommunication, consumer products, rentals, journalism, architecture, engineering projects, politics, local government, school and university education, welfare, self-government, tourism, shipping.
In the area of cybercrime, he has handled, inter alia, cases of unlawful processing of personal data, especially in the field of electronic communications, crimes against privacy and communications, financial crimes and honor crimes.
He participates in the Standing Research Committee of the Ministry of Justice “on monitoring developments and the legal framework for the protection of personal data, and submitting proposals for legislative initiatives in view of new technologies”.
He has been a Research Associate of the Hellenic Parliament.
He regularly writes articles on issues of personal data and cybercrime in the newspaper “Estia”, in which he is responsible for the column “Collection of Personal Data”, as well as in other print and internet media.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens [Very Good]. He holds postgraduate degrees from the Law School of the University of Aberdeen (LL.M. [Distinction], 2012), and the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (LL.M. [Excellent], 2014).
He is a member of the Athens Bar Association, the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the International Bar Association, as well as a founding member of the Union of Greek Jurists e-THEMIS. He is also the Alumni Ambassador of the University of Aberdeen in Athens and a member of the Greek Red Cross.
