Dimitris Anastasopoulos is the Founder and Managing Partner of the Law Firm “AA Lawyers”.

He an attorney at law admitted before the Greek Supreme Court with experience mainly in the areas of Criminal Law, especially in financial crimes, information law and personal data.

He has completed his undergraduate studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the Faculty of Law and his postgraduate studies in the same University in the department of Criminal Law. In the framework of his studies, he has been a visiting researcher in Harvard University.

He is a founding member and the President of the Union of Greek Jurists e-THEMIS (ethemis.gr), a pioneering association for the personal data protection in Greece, in the context of which, he has organized many scientific activities, especially national conferences, introducing at the same time the institution of the National Forum of the Legal Profession.

From 2014, he is being elected member of the Board of Directors of the Athens Bar Association and in the last election (2017) he claimed its Presidency, being supported by 3,500 colleagues, who honored him with the second place.

He chairs the Organizing Committee of ABA’s Seminars for compliance with the GDPR. He has participated in the Criminal Law and Informatics Committees of the Council of European Bar Associations (CCBE), in the Standing Committee on Fundamental Rights of Athens Bar Association and is a member of the Association of Greek Criminologists and the Association of Greek Traders. He has written a number of scientific articles and contributions, especially in Criminal Law and Personal Data.
